My Joy

My joy, my life, my drive, my passion is anchored in delight that I have found in Jesus.

Formative Passages from the Bible:

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

“Consider it all joy my brothers whenever you face trials of various kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Perseverance must finish it’s work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2-4

Personal Reflections:

I love Jesus. By His grace, His love has affected my heart and I am growing to deeply love people. I love seeing people find their satisfaction in Jesus.

I really enjoy when people are free to be themselves; robustly and vibrantly living the full life that they have found in Jesus.

I am not afraid of difficult circumstances, but seem to find the most traction in my pursuit to embrace Jesus while in the midst of them.

He is faithful.

Writing:

I love writing, but it has been a sanctifying love for me. I wrestle to articulate the essence of the life that I have found and the explosive revolutions that it has created. Writing for me is a process that I must engage, and I’m starting to believe that maybe it will help others engage explosive revolutions in their lives.

I try not to take myself very seriously, but when it comes to life, the pursuit of happiness, and fulfillment in Jesus… I am life-surrendering serious.

I hope that you benefit from my writing. I hope that we can be friends. And I hope that Jesus is and becomes your most valuable treasure.

…And that our lives becomes a canvas of that truth.

For the #joysetbeforeme,

Peter
